How WheelFriends collects, uses, and protects your personal data.
The short version
- Your profile
- Your name, photo, bio, ratings and reviews are visible to other members. Your email address, phone number and password are not.
- Location
- We store the routes you post or book, not a continuous trace of where you are. Live location sharing during a trip is opt-in and stops when the trip ends.
- Payments
- We never see or store your card number. Stripe handles card data; we keep only a customer reference.
- Analytics
- We record which pages and features get used, plus device and IP, to fix and improve the product. We do not sell your data to anyone.
- How long we keep it
- Account data lasts while your account does. Ride, booking and review records are kept afterwards where the law or a dispute requires it.
- Deleting your account
- Email privacy@wheelfriends.app and we delete your account and personal data, except records we are legally required to retain. You can also ask for a copy of your data.

1. Who We Are
WheelFriends ("we", "us", "our") operates the ridesharing platform available at wheelfriends.app. We are committed to protecting your personal data and complying with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable European data protection laws.

- →Payment data: Stripe customer ID (we do not store card numbers — Stripe handles all payment data)

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g. financial records for tax purposes, retained for 7 years).
