Terms of Service
Terms and conditions for using the WheelFriends ridesharing platform.
The short version
- What we are
- A marketplace that introduces drivers with a spare seat to passengers going the same way. We are not a taxi company or a carrier, we do not employ drivers, and we do not run the rides.
- If you drive
- You must hold a valid licence and legally required insurance, keep the car roadworthy, and only charge to share costs — not to run a business. What you post has to be what you actually drive.
- If you ride
- Turn up where and when you agreed, pay what the ride listed, and treat the driver and their car with the same care you would want.
- Cancelling
- Either side can cancel, and both sides should say so as early as possible. Cancellations are recorded and shown as a cancellation rate on your profile — that record is how the community sees reliability.
- Where we stop
- Because we do not operate the rides, we are not liable for what happens on one. That is the trade-off of a marketplace, and the limitation section spells it out.
