Pick with confidence
We surface the things that actually matter for a four-hour drive with a stranger.
What “verified” means
A driver can upload a government ID or driving licence plus a selfie, and our team checks it by hand. It is optional — so a profile says either “ID verified” or “ID not verified”, never nothing at all.
Honest reviews
Reviews come only from passengers who actually rode together. No incentives, no editing, no fake five-stars.
Car details
Make, model, year, A/C, vignette, child-seat — see the car you're stepping into before you book.
Chat before booking
Ask the driver about pickup spot, luggage, dogs, or detours — in-app chat means no number swap.
What the badges mean
Top Rated is 5 or more reviews at 4.5+. Super Driver is stricter: 10 or more reviews at 4.7+ and under 5% cancellations. Both are earned, neither can be bought.
Match your style
Music yes/no, pets, smoking, women-only seats — preferences are visible up front so you avoid awkward surprises.
Checks to run at pickup
Thirty seconds, in this order, every time.
- 1Before you set off, check the driver's name and photo on their profile match the person in front of you.
- 2Check the car's make, model and colour against the ride listing.
- 3Confirm the destination out loud with the driver before you get in.
- 4Tell someone you trust where you're going and when you expect to arrive.
- 5If anything doesn't match, don't get in. You are never obliged to take a ride, and you can report the driver afterwards.
What WheelFriends does and does not verify is set out in the Safety Centre.
